The Princess
A performance project initially taking the form of a physical piece of story telling to explore the world and symbolism of Cinderlla (VIDEO). This initial research evolved into a performance piece using clowning and audience interaction to explore innocence, responsibility and power by working with the fairytale 'princess' architype.
This performance is designed for audiences and as a mobile piece ad has been performed at Nottingham Playhouse, The Albany, Set Dalston, The Rosemary Branch.

The Captain
The Captain is a first evolution of the storytelling project Things That Come Out Of The Sea. It is a drag/clown/live art project exploring the contrapositioning of man nature. The desire of man to conquer or tame nature and its impossibility. Within the performance I use clown, sound, magic and audience interaction to explore fallacy of this ideology.
The Captain has been performed at The Glory, Bethnal Green Working Mens Club, Pinata, Fervour Festivl
Things That Come Out
Of The Sea
A set of 3 stories originally created for The Docklands museum. I took stories from specific locations such as Orford in Suffolk where there are stories attached to the land/architecture of the place that tell of merfolk/wild men emerging from the sea. I re-imagined these stories so that they hinged on the experience of transformation of space and the crossing of physical and psychological delineations and borders.

Things That Come Out
Things that come out is a durational performance
that explores human connection to place and land through play, clown and collective embodied space building the piece draws on traditions of Cairn building and German and Belgium carnival traditions such as The Krampus.
I research the area surrounding the performance location. The things that I encounter and the discussions I have inform a selection if materials; for example is there a particular shop that sells fabric, a particular plastic bag from a shop or supermarket that is most popular, something that is found along the banks of the canal. Inspired by the tradition of cairn building I create Wildermann inspired suits that I aim to be an embodiment of the locality.
The aim of this piece is to build fantastic spaces with everyday objects. Making elements from the landscape ritualistic, mythical, funny, transformative.
